Professional Technologies Sweden AB

Professional Technologies Sweden AB is committed to protecting the environment and reducing the environmental impact of our operations. We work systematically and continuously to improve our environmental performance, prevent pollution, and use resources responsibly in accordance with legal requirements and the Volvo Group sustainability expectations.

Greenhouse Gas Emissions & Decarbonisation
We monitor and work to reduce our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions through efficient processes, responsible purchasing, and continuous improvements. We support long-term decarbonisation by evaluating opportunities for low-carbon technologies and materials.

Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy
We strive to reduce energy consumption in our operations and promote the use of energy-efficient equipment, machinery, and processes. Where feasible, we aim to increase the share of renewable energy used in our facilities.

Water Quality, Consumption & Management
We use water responsibly, prevent contamination, and work to reduce water consumption through efficient processes. Wastewater and discharges are managed in compliance with applicable laws.

Air Quality
We take measures to minimize air emissions, including dust, fumes, and gases, and ensure our operations do not negatively impact local air quality.

Responsible Chemical Management
All chemicals are stored, handled, and disposed of safely and responsibly. Only approved substances may be used, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are maintained and accessible. We work to minimize the use of hazardous substances.

Sustainable Resource Management
We strive to use materials, energy, and natural resources efficiently, and prioritize environmentally responsible procurement and resource planning.

Waste Reduction, Reuse & Recycling
We actively work to reduce waste generation. Materials are reused when possible, and recyclable waste is sorted and sent to approved recycling facilities. Hazardous waste is managed according to legal requirements.

Biodiversity, Land Use & Deforestation
We conduct our operations in a way that avoids negative impacts on biodiversity, natural habitats, and land use. We do not source materials contributing to deforestation and avoid activities that damage ecosystems.

Soil Quality
We take precautions to prevent soil contamination from spills, chemicals, or waste. Any incidents that may affect soil quality are addressed immediately.

Noise Emissions
We monitor noise levels and take reasonable measures to reduce noise emissions from our operations to protect employees and surrounding communities.

Animal Welfare
We respect animal welfare in our operations and procurement practices and do not engage in activities that cause harm to animals.

Employee Awareness & Participation
Employees receive appropriate environmental training and are encouraged to contribute to improvements. We promote awareness of environmental responsibilities across the company.

Continuous Improvement
We regularly review our environmental objectives, targets, and performance to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with best practices.
